Robert Pattinson has predicted that his new art-house film Cosmopolis will be embraced by Twilight fans, despite its somewhat controversial content. "Some of them will just want you to play vampires, but most people don`t want you to repeat yourself," he told the BBC. Cosmopolis, directed by David Cronenberg, opens in the UK this week. The film, based on the novel by Don DeLillo, was a contender for the Palme d`Or at the Cannes Film Festival in May. So is there life after Twilight for Pattinson, and what do his stars tell us about him?

Pattinson was born on May 13th 1986, making him a Taurus born in the Chinese year of the Tiger. Those born under the ferocious sign of the Tiger have very go-ahead personalities, in direct contrast to the normally sedate and thoughtful Taurean persona. They tend to immerse themselves in any of their undertakings and while full of optimism, they can make rash decisions. Pattinson would do well not to underestimate the devotion of the Twilight fans, but this move into art-house film may indicate that he is mature enough to leave the mass-market appeal of the Twilight sagas behind and try his hand at something a little more risqu. Funnily enough, despite the usual portrayal of the staid, conservative Bull, Taureans do have a rebellious streak in them and can often shock those around them by acting in what would seem to be an impulsive way. But rest assured that the Taurean head for business will mean that Pattinson has thought this through far more carefully than you might first think, and expect to see him making his mark in independent cinema in the future.
